Referrals
Geelong Neuropsychology is pleased to offer services to people aged 4 years and older. Individuals or their families can self-refer for neuropsychological input. Referrals are also accepted from medical physicians, allied health providers, funders or any other stakeholders. If you want to make a referral or book an appointment, please complete the form below. An allocation meeting is held weekly and one of the team will be in touch with you to discuss your needs further.
For a shorter time in the waiting room, please fill out the New Patient Form and email it to us before your visit.
Funding options
At this stage, neuropsychological assessments are NOT eligible for funding through Medicare. However, you may be able to claim against private health insurance. The service is compensable under TAC, Workcover, DVA and many services are also eligible for NDIS funding.
Other services (e.g. counselling and support services) are eligible for Medicare funding. You will need to discuss this with your GP or medical specialist who will determine if you are eligible for medicare funded support and make the referral. You are also welcome to self-fund. These options and fee structure can be discussed in more detail with you.
Confidentiality
Information is confidential except when:
You consent to share with professionals or family.
Disclosure is required by law or subpoena.
There is serious and imminent risk (e.g., suicidal or homicidal ideation, child or elder abuse).
Psychologist discusses de-identified cases for supervision/professional development.
Geelong Neuropsychology uses a secure practice management software (Splose) for records, billing, and appointments. We will always discuss and seek consent before using AI tools in your care.

Please note: At this stage, appointments are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Cancellation Policy: 48 hours notice is required to cancel an assessment appointment. 24 hours notice is required to cancel a counselling appointment. If less notice is provided a cancellation fee will be applied.
Geelong Neuropsychology is a service for the people of Geelong, Bellarine, Surf Coast and Otway/Colac shires. Under consultation with funders, service can also be provided to regions further west and south west of Geelong (e.g. Warrnambool, Horsham).
